Mobile Streams launches BlackBerry Games in Australia

Asia‘s leading mobile games retailer, Mobile Streams, announces today that it has launched support for games downloads to the full range of BlackBerry smartphones in Australia.

As well as being considered the ‘must have’ communications device for business professionals, the BlackBerry has been gradually extending its device portfolio and reach, into the mobile entertainment space for consumers too.  With the new launches, BlackBerry users on major operator networks in Australia can access an extensive selection of popular mobile games to download and play at their leisure. The new portals feature a catalog of games sourced from the world’s top publishers including Electronic Arts, Glu Mobile, NAMCO and Connect2Media.

The BlackBerry games catalog provided by Mobile Streams includes a wide range of popular titles such as the gem-swapping mobile puzzle game, Bejeweled, including dynamic animations and sound effects; Guitar Hero® World Tour, the sequel to the award-winning and best-selling mobile game, Guitar Hero® III, all time favourite, PAC-MAN; as well as the Tiger Woods PGA TOUR ® 09 where players can play as Tiger and other PGA TOUR pros, or create their own mobile golfer.

On the new launches, Angela Mastrillo, VP of Mobile Streams Asia Pacific commented: “There is an increasing demand for BlackBerry games in Australia as consumers look to use their smartphones to access and download games and other content on the move as well as to increase their productivity.  We are excited to extend the games offerings of our network operator partners to include BlackBerry games and to converting more BlackBerry users into mobile gamers”.
